MEET SARAH!

Hi! I’m Sarah Burke Dimitrov, a fertility doula (certifying) and certified babywearing educator. With my own experiences along both paths in hand, I have sought training and mentorship to support others through deeply personal, tender transitions with care and clarity.

I offer local, in-person support on the territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ and lək̓ʷəŋən speaking People (known as the Greater Victoria Area in BC, Canada) and online worldwide.

  • Sarah provided invaluable support throughout our fertility journey and recurrent pregnancy losses. Fertility struggles can feel incredibly isolating, especially when others don’t fully understand the experience. Having someone who truly “got it” brought so much comfort during a very difficult time. Sarah’s empathy, compassion, reassurance, and willingness to share her experiences helped us feel supported not just practically, but emotionally as well. She helped us navigate the emotional side of fertility struggles in a way that wasn’t addressed by the fertility clinic, and having her support made such a positive impact on our journey.

  • During my pregnancy, Sarah helped me try several baby carriers so I could find one that felt right for the newborn stage. After our baby arrived, she came to our home and helped both my husband and me feel confident and comfortable using the carrier safely and effectively. Being able to babywear with confidence was a game changer — it made it so much easier to get out of the house during the newborn stage and keep up with our older child.

  • Sarah is so knowledgeable and made it all super simple and user friendly. With my first baby I felt overwhelmed before setting up the wrap to place him in and this time around with my second I feel so much more confident and it’s been amazing wearing her and trying different wraps too! 10/10 recommend getting expert help to safely and calmly wear your baby.

  • I liked the idea of babywearing my first, I had bought a ring sling and structured carrier while pregnant, but was overwhelmed and never felt like I had her secure enough to do so. Now with my second I have the knowledge and confidence to babywear her securely and safely thanks to Sarah’s virtual education session.

  • Sarah has played a pivotal role in helping me gain confidence to front and backwear my now 12 month old. She started helping me when my baby was 3 months old and I was trying to pick the right carrier and she still helps me now as he grows and my and his needs change. She is kind, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. I would (and do) recommend to her anyone.

  • Sarah was an incredible guest speaker in our Aligned Infant Feeding Mastermind. She presented on babywearing in a way that truly wowed our group. Covering the history, developmental benefits, attachment, and the profound relationship babywearing has with infant growth and parenthood. What made the experience even more valuable was Sarah’s live hands-on approach. She walked us through popular carrier options, demonstrated proper fit and positioning, and helped us understand the strengths and limitations of different carriers for various body types and babies. The practical component brought so much clarity and confidence. I highly recommend Sarah not only for professional education and training opportunities but especially for parents navigating carrier choices.
